Chrisette Michele is performing at this year’s South by Southwest festival. She'll take the stage Thursday night, during a showcase presented by BET and the American Society of Composers, Authors and Publishers.
T.I., Schoolboy Q, DJ Drama, Lecrae, Bridget Kelly, BJ The Chicago Kid and DJ Hella Yella are also slated to perform at the concert, taking place at Brazos Hall in Austin, Texas. The night's lineup also includes a surprise guest.
In other Chrisette news, she's just released her new music video for "Couple of Forevers." Directed by Derek Blanks and filmed in Savannah, Georgia, the clip begins when Chrisette -- fresh from the airport -- reunites with her beau. The pair are in for a romantic adventure, with Chrisette leading her man to the park for a stroll. They pass a few couples who seem to be enjoying their own "Couple of Forevers," and eventually Chrisette and her guy end up at a tattoo shop where they solidify their love with ink.
Along with the new music video, Chrisette also talks about being an artist in the latest installment of her Journey to Better video series for HipHopWeekly.com. She shares some new music, and talks about her upcoming Better album, which is due out later this year.
