Solange grew up in Houston, texas, but she calls Brooklyn, New York, home these days.  So it's only right that she's headlining the upcoming Crossing Brooklyn Ferry music and film festival, taking place next month in BK. 

The Roots are also lined up to perform during the showcase, which will feature bands, singer-songwriters, filmmakers and more, from all over New York City. 

Solange hits the stage at the BAM Howard Gilman Opera House on Thursday, April 25, with The Roots taking over that venue on Friday, April 26.
