Ray J found himself squaring off early Friday morning with a guy who claims to have once been his friend.  TMZ's video from Club Nokia in downtown L.A. shows Ray exchanging blows backstage with California rapper Bad Azz, who is a member of Dogg Pound Gangsta, a collective that includes Snoop Dogg, Kurupt, Daz Dillinger and other West Coast acts.

Bad Azz tells TMZ that he started the fight with Ray.  Apparently, he's got beef with the singer and television personality because a few years ago, Ray told former Death Row CEO Suge Knight that Bad Azz had been talking trash about him.  Bad Azz tells TMZ that he got jumped by Suge and his boys because of Ray J's loose lips.

In addition to the fight with Bad Azz, video also shows Ray in a confrontation with a woman who claimed to be Suge's niece.  "Okay, Suge my big homie, and what?" Ray says to the woman, who confronted Ray outside his dressing room.  The woman had a bone to pick with Ray after she claims he called her a "fat bitch."
